I’ve put the Myprotein Seamless collection to the test and here’s my honest opinion on a few items from the range.
Myprotein Shape Seamless Bra: 10/10
Fit: True to size
This Shape Seamless bra is perfect in so many aspects. First of all, I like that it’s almost a cropped top, and I feel slightly less exposed when I walk around the gym. If you’re too warm to wear a top but feel a bit self-conscious like I still am, the Shape Seamless Bra is a good compromise.
Then, it’s clearly been designed to be “shape flattering”, from the V neck to the shirred centre and the double cross-back straps. It really enhances the shape of your shoulders and back.
The problem with fitted activewear is that you never know if it’s going to be a nice fabric. Well, this one feels like second skin and stays in place when you move. No need to readjust your bra at all.
This bra offers light support and is fine for me but if you need a medium-impact sports bra then go for another one like the Ignite bra.
Myprotein Shape Seamless Leggings: 8/10
Fit: True to size.
Have you ever had a pair of leggings that were so flattering that they made you feel 10 times more confident at the gym? That’s the feeling I get with the Shape Seamless leggings. That’s why I love wearing them on leg days.
They just perfectly shape your lower body with their contouring lines and the mesh on the sides of the legs. Bonus points for the “bum lifting” effect. Who doesn’t like that? Plus, they are as comfy as the bra and they are 100% squat proof.
I also really like the fact that I don’t have to roll them up, unlike most of my full length leggings. The struggle is real when you’re only 5ft.
The only thing that slightly bothers me is that the “high-waisted fit” is not really high. Well, not as high waisted as I like my leggings to be. The waistband doesn’t reach my belly button and it tends to roll a little bit when I do some movements.
I also wish these Myprotein leggings came in more colours (says the girl who bought them in black). I’m thinking of getting them in purple though but I’m also hoping for a khaki or dark blue version.
The grey jacket you see on some pictures is the Pro Tech Bomber which I wear all the time. It’s on sale now as well!
Myprotein Seamless Leggings: 7/10
Fit: I should have sized down. If you’re in between two sizes, definitely go for the smallest.
These Seamless leggings have been launched a while ago but I only got them recently. I’ve put them to the test at the gym last week and to be honest they are not my favourite.
The main difference between these ones and the Shape Seamless is that they are made of polyester (40% vs 0% for the Shape Seamless) which makes them stretch more as you move. I really prefer to wear a tight-fitted pair of leggings when I work out as it feels nicer, but it’s just a personal preference.
However they still give your legs a good shape with their two-tone fabric. Comfort wise, they feel very soft. They’re also good value value for money. I’ve put the pricing info at the end of the article but these Myprotein Seamless leggings always seem to be on offer. You can get them right now for £15.99 (50% off!) If you like stretchy leggings, you will prefer these ones over the Shape Seamless.
I’ll definitely wear the Myprotein Seamless leggings again but I’ll keep them for outdoors activities like a long walk or a run. Basically when I need to wear extra soft but flattering bottoms.
It seems like a new Myprotein clothing line will drop soon and I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with.
If you wear Myprotein, let me know what your favourite items are 🙂
